A little sewing project for making your own embroidered lavender bag — perfect for tucking amongst your fabric stash, keeping drawers sweetly scented, or simply making something lovely with your hands.
I've put these kits together using things I've collected and particularly loved, including vintage embroidery transfers, linen for embroidery, vintage embroidery threads and English lavender buds. Each kit also includes fabric for making your lavender bag.
The vintage embroidery transfers and thread colours will vary from kit to kit, making each one a little different.
Each kit contains:
- linen for embroidering and making the lavender bag
- a selection of vintage embroidery transfers
- a selection of six embroidery threads
- English lavender buds for filling at least on lavender sachet
There are just four kits available, so this is a very small edition. A lovely little project to make for yourself, or perhaps as a handmade gift.
NB. A note about the materials:
The embroidery transfers and threads are vintage, so they may show the occasional little mark or sign of age. This is part of their charm and is exactly what I love about using old sewing materials. The kits have been assembled by hand and each one is slightly different.
